This is a drawing of an object that will be part of the installation. The installation will open in July 2012 and will consist of dressers and each drawer in the dresser will have junk drawer items in them.
One of my drawers consists of feathers, nests and other bird ephemera. I thought it would be nice to tape the feathers down in a nice organized fashion. This feather is the smallest of the lot.
Good idea, they might blow away.
And they would too. It works out well because as people open the drawers, items tend to shift and move. So the tape looks neat and keeps everything in order.
