This is a drawing of an object that will be part of the installation. The installation will open in July 2012 and will consist of dressers and each drawer in the dresser will have junk drawer items in them.

This item was given to me when I was a very small girl by our elderly Swiss neighbors. It is a music box and it plays “Oh My Papa”. It’s very dear to me and it always makes me cry when I hear the song. A little research tells me it’s a German song written by a Swiss composer. The Simpsons used the song and changed it to “Like Father, Like Clown.” Funny because it’s about a girl singing of her father who had been a clown.
